Get to know the Norwegian Olympic heroes and their stories.
Norway has many good athletes! We are known as the skin nation, but also in other disciplines in both the summer and winter Olympics, our country has impressed on the results lists and collected medals.
You can see many of these medals on display in the Olympic Museum, along with sports equipment from the athletes and stories about their achievements.
For example, you can see the skates of Knut "Kupper'n" Johansen and get the story of his famous world record. You can see the pink skipoles of Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, who impressed everyone with his powerful jerk style.
You also get stories like the one about the Norwegian cross-country girls "Jentut'n" who paved the way for Norwegian women's cross-country skiing and won Norway's first Olympic relay gold. The museum also pay tribute to the great stars such as the skiing queen Marit Bjørgen, who many years later became the most winning Winter Olympian of all time, regardless of gender.
